FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. How do I book with you?

Start by submitting an inquiry or sending me an email—the more info you can provide about what you're looking for, the better! We'll likely exchange a few emails about your event and makeup needs. Once we've got all the details worked out, I'll send over a contract for you to read over. Once you send back the signed contract and your deposit, you're booked in!

If at any point during our conversation you decide to go in a different direction, that's totally fine—no hard feelings! I just ask that you please let me know rather than ghosting, so I'm not left wondering.

2. I don't know what sort of look I want—can you help?

Of course; that's what I'm here for! Whether you don't normally wear makeup, or just can't decide what to go for on your big day, no need to worry—I'm happy to make suggestions of what will be flattering to your features and will suit your outfit and event. Together we'll come up with a look you'll love!

3. How long will the makeup take?

Approximately 50 minutes per client: 45 minutes for the makeup application, and 5 minutes to sanitize and get ready for the next person in your party.

4. What products do you use in your kit?

I use a variety of different brands in my kit. Some of my favourite brands, and the ones I  work with the most, are Make Up For Ever, MAC, Face Atelier, and RCMA, but I do pull from others as well. It all depends on what product will achieve the best results for my clients!

5. Where will we do the makeup?

Wherever you're getting ready! I'll come to whatever location is convenient to you. Travel within Winnipeg is free, while travel outside the city will incur a $0.50 per km fee, roundtrip.

6. Are lashes included?

Yes! False lashes are included with every application. I recommend lashes for any occasion where you'll be getting photos taken, as they really make the eyes pop in pictures.

7. Should I do any prep before my appointment?

Week before: Moisturize your face daily. Use your regular, tried-and-true makeup and skincare products. Do your best to avoid introducing any new products or treatments into your routine—now is not when you want to have a reaction to something!

Night before: Use a gentle exfoliator on your face, as long as it's one you've used before and know you won't react to.

Day of: It's best to show up to your appointment with no makeup on. If you can, avoid using skincare within the hour before your appointment. Bring any inspiration photos of makeup looks you like. Try to wear a shirt that buttons up or has a loose neck to avoid smudging your makeup when you get changed.

8. How can I keep my makeup looking fresh all day?

While I use long-lasting products and techniques to make your makeup as bulletproof as possible, it's unavoidable to have some wear throughout a long day. That's why I provide every client* with a touch-up kit containing everything you need to freshen up during your event!

9. What if I have a question not on this list?
